Glossary database creation in SDL Multiterm programme
Glossary database creation using the SDL MultiTerm programme using example files created with the SDL MultiTerm Convert programme.

Click the thumbnails to start a slide show. Move to the next slide by clicking on the right side of the picture and the previous slide by clicking on the left. Explanations of what you're seeing appear under the slides.


Start the SDL MultiTerm programme. Select Termbase from the Termbase menu, followed by Create Termbase...
Select the folder where the database will be saved. Click OK.
The Termbase Wizard will appear. Select Next.


Select the Load an existing Termbase definition file option.
Browse to the .xdt file created earlier with the MultiTerm Convert programme. Click Next.


Create a name for the Termbase and click Next. In the following steps, click Next until the Finish button appears, then click it to end the process.


Now, select Termbase from the menu, followed by Import Entries...


From the Import tab select Process...


Browse to the .xml file created earlier with the MultiTerm Convert programme.


A .log file will be created automatically. Select the Fast import option and click Next. Click Next and Finish to end the process.


Click OK. Your Glossary is ready!


Your database has been saved. To open it again, select Termbase from the menu followed by Open/Close Termbases... Several databases may be open at the same time.
